link to a 1.38-minute excerpt of the work. Original duration: 10 minutes loop.

The work Tjǫrn is based on sound and video underwater recordings made in Tjenslitjern at Husmannsplassen Stein, Nesodden. The work explores sensory experiences of what connects plant and animal life above and below water. Tjǫrn was exhibited in the forest near Husmansplassen Stein as part of the outdoor exhibition Den djupere tida, curated by Linn Cecilie Ulvin, Oslofjord Triennale 2024.

Den djupere tida is rooted in a home and a local environment, geographically located in the middle of the Nesodden peninsula, in the inner Oslofjord. The art project explored how artistic strategies and expressions can connect us to time, nature, community, and species diversity. Participating artists: Dag Nordbrenden with Arne Borgan, Beate Petersen, Ole Christian Ellestad, Mekdes Weldehanna Shebeta, Grete Neseblod, Sonja Nyegaard, Inghill Johansen, Linn Cecilie Ulvin, Paal Nilssen – Love.
